Ha! JJ herself! If I was there I'd probably get involved as well ... just in order to get the gear NOT to do the hikes!

I'm trying to think up an excuse why I might need to invest in some equipment!
There's tons of stuff to look into and get, and I know half the people out there don't buy the gear for hiking. I think the average hiker who keeps up with everything spends about $550 a year on gear.
Let me tell, C-A, if I can be forced to leave my ever-calling work and home responsibilities, it is really exhilarating to get out and be active. I can understand why Trent likes it so much. I can tell you are intrigued with the gear, though! And those multi-pocketed backpacks!
